  1. ok here comes another dumb question do you pre soak the grain first or do you put it thru and add water as it goes like a grist dehydrator . we have 2 grinders left over from when we raced sled dogs one is a 5 horse electric and the big one is turned with pto on the tractor , i may give this a try .

  2. very cool that you built your own personally i would love to see how you did it if your willing to share your experience .  i would also be interested has anyone tried a side by side comparison of flavor profile between wooden wash backs and plastic or stainless , with all grain mashes .

  3. hello three oaks , can you remove the screen in you cart after your wort has been drained  off . if you can u may be able to add waste water and backset in with the grain until it is a slurry and be pumped out with simple 2 inch submersible sewer pump . just an idea

  4. thanks for the info guys were not in a position to buy one yet lol . i was just curious if any one in canada was using them as we had an inspector tell us that they cant be used in Canada for the production of beverage alcohol . Tim broke out laughing but i figured id ask if any one is using them .

  5. good morning all . Im trying to find a list of chemicals and chemical compounds that would appear in a all grain mash and all grain distillate. a list or a link would be great . im thinking  that your ttb regs would have a list of acceptable components and there ppm tolerances  that they would use if they had to test a product for contamination . thanks .
