  1. Would like to get experiences with UPC coding. Obviously, each bottle has a UPC code. What about separate UPC codes for the shipper (indicating a full case) or for the pallet? Are you placing the bottle UPC on the outside of the shipper case, or using a unique case UPC, or both? I also know some of the control states and Canada require special numbers and coding... Thanks for the help! Wes
  2. Richard, Please contact me about pricing for the large racks. Can you send specs/photos? Thanks, Wes Henderson whenderson@louisvilledistilling.com
  3. Cruzan dark aged rum goes in at 135 proof or 72 O.P.G.’s. Outage 9% year one and 6% per year thereafter.... Hope this helps. wh
  4. Would appreciate any photos of tasting rooms my friends could post or send! Thanks, Wes
  5. Thanks to everyone for their insight and information. Chuck, your answer was much along the lines of what I really needed to know. I want to take a portion of our inventory and have the ability to perform some enhanced maturation under various controlled climates, and the portability of this inventory is very important. The leakage is a concern, but as this will probably only be 50 or so barrels at this time, it should not be significant. Pallatizing seems like a better solution than using the portable racks (like I have seen in the wine industry primarily). Thanks again! Wes
  6. Need some input on barrel palletizing of 250L barrels.... Size of pallet? How many filled barrels per pallet? How many pallets stacked? Thanks! Wes

  10. Thanks Ralph. I was hoping you would reply. My client is looking at the Farm Distiller's license, in addition to a possible A-1, but I was hoping there was a shortcut on this particular issue. When you call the ABC, they shoot down the notion pretty quick of having a saloon controlled by the same licensee as the the DSP. BTW, enjoyed the Hudson Baby Bourbon at the recent ADI Workshop. Best, Wes Henderson
  11. It is apparent that NY is much like other states, wherein a DSP licensee is not permitted to hold an on-premise license. Anyone know of loopholes here, where a manufacturer may operate a bar adjacent to the DSP? Thanks, WH

  14. Thanks Will. I have considered this previously, and probably need to take another look because of the flexibility of this option.
  15. Seeking a company that manufacturers ricking machines or barrel lifts to position barrels on the ricks. Anyone have any sources for these, or recommendations on how you handle your barrels. Thanks, Wes Henderson
  16. Seeking a producer of GNS in New York. Prefer GNS which can be certified as a NY State agriculture product (51% NY raw materials). Please respond to whenderson@masterdistillerselect.com Thanks! WH
