  1. I don't agree. Electric power is in most cases cheaper. And with the element submerged in the liquid the heat transfer rate is far superior to that of steam jackets, And the cost of natural gas or LP. I would say electric is okay up to somewhere around 300 gallons. 100-150 no problem. The electric set up is quick and easy and cheap, whereas installing a steam boiler is very expensive itself just for the unit. Let alone the install.

  2. I'll build you a condenser no one could swamp. It is not just the type but the internal design. I'm not going to tell all my secrets but I could make 4' condenser act as if it is 20' long and you would use dramatic less amount of water.

  3. Jim, and John

I just wanted to put my two cents in. Some of you I Probably talked to about this, but I just wanted to say it again.

I am currently starting a new manufacturing business making stills and still components made in the United States not China. One of them I'm working on is my continuous still that is currently a prototype right now, But I do use it for my own distillery. It can process 3/8 of a gallon per minute and I'm working on to increase it to 1/2 of a gallon per minute processing. My output is easily 80 to 85%. Although it does not take out forshot, heads, body, and tails, I use it for stripping only.

    It is the cats pajamas!

  4. Are you still looking for a still or any distillation equipment? I can make you anything you want on the new and upcoming still designer. And builder everything is made in the USA not China.

  5. You had better go to the bank and get along for the copper it's going to be crazy expensive. It's cheaper to buy copper by the sheets and slip role of yourself and make your own tubes.

If you need help building stills, I can help you I build stills.

  6. I made a screw press but it has a couple of bugs.

I love my press. I grind my grain in a hammer mill. When I use the 1/4 screen the press gets it totally dry. When Ouse the 1/8 screen I have to add rice hulls and the grain is still very damp.

There is a screen in side the plastic tub. The plastic tub is half of a 55 gallon drum. I use a 1/2" uhmw push plate and a giant wood piston. The cylinder is a 2500psi ( I'm going to upgrade it to 3000psi) tie rod. It is hooked to a 10,000psi enerpac hand pump.

I will make a u tube video I you want.

Write me and let me know.
