Hewnspirits
We're getting closer to the day when we'll need to have our bottling and packaging worked out and I'm trying to get a feel for what to expect from wholesale bottle distributers in terms of minimum order numbers. Any insight would be mucho appreciated.
tl5612
I might be able to help - although please note that I am based in the UK, so things might be slightly different. Catalogue bottle from company like Saverglass (France), MOQ is one pallet (about 960, 70/75cl bottles). Price falls by about 10% if you order 10 pallets. Custom made bottle from China, MOQ can be as low as 10k units. Custom made bottle from UK manufacturer, MOQ is higher at around 30k units.
Hewnspirits
Thanks TL....Curious what folks here in North America are seeing as well.
Absinthe Pete
That seems about the same. Not sure about the discount as I've only ever ordered one pallet at a time. For custom bottles what I've heard is if you order 30,000 then the mold is free and the bottles comes out to about $1 each.
Hewnspirits
Thanks Pete.....If you don't mind me asking, who do you get your bottles from?
Absinthe Pete
I get my bottles from bottle manufacturers. Oddly when you try to buy bottles from cheese manufacturers they look at you weird. I get mine from Bruni Glass. Saver and United Bottles are also pretty popular.
