CountySeat
For those that are freeze or chill filtering your vodka, what kind of system do you use? We are looking for a relatively inexpensive system since our vodka will not be our primary product. Thanks!
miller
Low cost is a heat exchanger and well water but your well water should be less than 60 f
MG Thermal Consulting
The cold filtering glycol chillers I have always supplied were used below 32F glycol, usually around 25F.
CountySeat
Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy an extra large chest freezer, drop a stainless steel lining in and chill in there, then filter out?
Afilters
I have recently done some filter testing without chilling and have been very happy with the results. You can reach me at alex@findlow-filters.com if you would like to discuss. Thanks, Alex
MG Thermal Consulting
I have a small used & reconditioned 3 HP chiller which can be used, $6,000 or a little less- It would be run tested at the factory. 230/3/60. It would get you 18,000 Btu/hr at 25F glycol temp for your filtering. Mike 770-995-4066
