Lee_NC
We initially ordered two and then got another two after we realized how useful they were. We make our liqueurs right in these barrels and can easily roll them over to our bottler. The transfer drums fit on my drum scale for weighing water/spirits, then easily move to the still or where ever I need them to be. James and the folks at Teton were also great to deal with! Max Action
Do these have a sloped bottom or otherwise drain completely, or do they leave a puddle after emptying?
TetonDistillery
On 8/13/2015 at 9:23 AM, Max Action said: Do these have a sloped bottom or otherwise drain completely, or do they leave a puddle after emptying? The drain is 3/8 of an inch above the bottom of the barrel, so a small amount is there. We tilt the barrels to get the final amount of liquid out. The new version of the SS barrel, that we now offer, has the drain at the bottom. So there is no longer any puddle after emptying.
TetonDistillery
My next batch of these barrels should be ready in late October or early November. I have 38 available. The new design will have the drain at the bottom in order to avoid any leftover pool of liquid when emptying.
3d0g
Saw these in person last weekend. Really nice!
TetonDistillery
Here are some pictures of the new design. We have moved the drain at the bottom of the barrel to be an elbow. With this new design, 100% of the liquid will drain out. In the prior design, there was a small pool at the bottom because the drain was on the side, not fully at the bottom level of the barrel. Users would tip the barrel slightly to get the last of the liquid out. That is no longer necessary. We will have 38 of these stainless steel barrels (55 gallons) ready in November. $895 each. Please place reservations now. Let us know what you think. TetonDistillery
Here are some pictures of the new Stainless Steel barrels. This is a new design with the drain lower so that 100% of the liquid can drain out of the barrel. $895.00 each plus shipping (FOB Driggs, Idaho). JoshGreenDoor
Hey James. Sent you a couple emails about the tanks. Also, any chance you'd fabricate larger sizes maybe 60-75 gallon? Cheers,
