william-bailey
As we continue to develop our vodka product, we will infuse vodka before the bottling process. Does anyone have a recommendation on a small filling machine (750ml) that will allow small pulp pieces to pass through (and not clog) the filling machine? We don't want to filter out all of the pulp as the finished product takes on an even smoother flavor. We're talking orange juice pulp, but chunks. Thanks friends for any suggestions! Have a great week!
PeteB
Could you add the small amount of pulp to the bottle with a funnel then fill by normal filler = "Bottle infused"
william-bailey
We need to infuse early in the process to create the smoothest liquor. We're using real fruit and we do strain most of the fruit out but a little pulp still remains. We've tried to filter the infusion but issue is that it strips most of the flavor we desire. JustAndy
What type of filter did you try? You probably want to do a shelf stability test before deciding to leave a lot of solids/pulp in the bottle. They will likely settle out over time and form a disgusting clump at the top or bottom of your bottle.
