  1. components are from Stilldragon. I've had a lot of inquiries about when it will be available. Its available now as we already have our larger system in place.
  2. I have emailed you Don. Let me know via email if you have additional questions. Thanks.
  3. We have upgraded to a larger system and have our 380 liter still for sale. 6" column with 4 copper bubble cap plates. Still has 5, 2" tri clamp fittings in boiler for your heating elements although we have never used more than 4, 5500 watt elements to heat the still. 2" tri clamp port for drain in bottom and 2, 2" tri clamp fittings on top for temp probe or whatever else you might want to put there. We typically distill with a 100 gallon charge. I usually use 2 sections and plates to make our corn whiskey moonshine which recently won a silver medal at the 2015 ADI competition. Not interested in shipping. Still will be cleaned and can be picked up here at our location in Osage Beach, Missouri. $4,500 for all. If you have questions please post here or message me here and I will respond soon as possible. Thanks.
  4. I had a similar experience with this guy. Emailed him that I was not interested in his barrels at his prices and stop spamming me. His reply was typical of a jr. high boy with lots of profanity. lol
  5. Paulson. Great corks and great people.
  6. $380? each? is that a typo?
  7. We use an enlomatic filler with the filter canister. Have bottle thousands of bottles with it and it has worked perfectly. I use the one bottle filler from St. Pats. They also have the 4 bottle filler but we typically only bottle about 400 to 500 bottles at a time so the one bottle filler works fine for us now. The one bottle filler is $395 if I remember right and the 4 bottle set up is over $2K..

  9. is your hydrometer calibrated? Did you adjust for temp?
  10. Moonshine is a marketing term not a standards of identity classification. Our moonshine is corn whiskey. Some on the market are GNS or GNS with fruit added. Don't remember what they are calling them. I did see one moonshine that said grain neutral spirits with natural flavor.
  11. Welcome. I'm from near eldon, Iowa so spent time around keosauqua and around vanburen co.
  12. proof gallons are one gallon at 100 proof at 60 degrees f. everything must be converted to that.
  13. Greetings and welcome. Lake of the ozarks here. Let me know if I can help!
  14. Just figured something out. If you look at the tutorials on the TTB website and go to the FAQ and instructions there's a link to the form. I figured it was a link to the form.......lol..... But, if you click it then you can look at each box and bring up highlighted instructions on what to put in each box. Have looked at those tutorial pages so many times over the last few months my eyes hurt. As I said, when it shows a link to the form I figured it was a link to the form.. And I have the form on PDF and printed off to pencil in the numbers... Never bothered to click the link until this afternoon... another lesson learned about the TTB website... Am I the only idiot around here?? Wait, don't answer that!
  15. Can someone point me in a direction for guidance in filling out the monthly reports namely production operations and processing operations. Have read the TTB instructions and they don't give much information. Storage operations report is pretty straight forward but the other 2 are not making sense. For example, we just started the end of March but in that last week of march we produced 16.64 proof gallons. We sold 5 cases totaling 11.89 proof gallons. Still have 2 cases in distillery. 31.2 proof gallons were produced and placed in storage. On the production operations report Line 1 says tax payment.. I assume I put 11.89 gallons there. Then on line 9 where it is entered in processing account do I put the 16.64? Then at the bottom on line 14 it wants a total produced which would not be correct.. As you can see I'm totally confused and can't find any instructions or guidance to walk me through the reports. Even a sample report would clear it up..... Seems like it should be easy especially since we just started and have little to report but I'm not getting it for some reason.
  16. contact Jennifer. Had our bond in a week. Was easy to work with and also did our state bond. Jennifer C. Royall John Sutak Risk Services One Embarcadero Center, Suite 1040 San Francisco, CA 94111 Direct 415.901.2551 Main 415.394.0700 Fax 415.394.8839 www.johnsutakrisk.com
  17. ISC is about 25 miles from me and we will only use 53 gal barrels from them. I have been trying to decide between a level 3 char and the Craft distillers char. I would be interested in your thoughts on the craft distillers char, why you like it, what kind of flavor, etc.
  18. I feel for ya. It can get very frustrating. Hang in there and I'm sure it won't be long. The specialist I had was great and it took her about 4 days to go through everything and there were a few things that had to be corrected. Once she was done she said my approval would come within 2 weeks depending on how backed up they were. It took less than a week and that was with Christmas. Keep us up to date on your progress. We all do better if we hang together.
  19. Thanks! Yes the phone call did it. Once they started on my app it didn't take long. The specialist did tell me my app was well done and made her job easier. They may say that to everyone but I appreciated the comments. All that reading of the CFR 27 book helped a great deal. Now just waiting on Cola account to get activated. Blooztune- I submitted in September also. Didn't hear a word till I called and sent an email. You may want to follow the good advice I got from bluestar and give them a call and inquire about your status. Once they started working on my app the process was very professional and fast.
  20. Received our federal permit yesterday! Nice Christmas present. Cola and the state paperwork next.
  21. Wanted to give you all an update. I called the TTB regarding my app on Dec 11th and left a message. Also emailed on that Friday. Got a response this Monday Dec 17th with apologies etc.. My application was given to a specialist and I heard from her on Tuesday the 18th with 7 items to address. They included things like what electric company we had and since I had borrowed funds from one of my other companies to fund the distillery she wanted a signed statement from me as to whether my other company had any interest in the distillery. I did it as a loan from the company with a promissory note but they wanted the statement also. The other items were along those lines. Then after everything was satisfied my bond was incorrect. lol This was corrected and my app was processed and forwarded for final disposition. All this took place this week via email with the specialist. The experience with the specialist was excellent and timely. I received notice from her this morning that my app was ready for final review and it should happen within 2 weeks depending on their backlog. So, looks like we are very close. I wish I would have made contact with them a month ago but didn't want to push and cause myself any grief. I can only guess my application fell through the cracks somewhere as I received a couple of apologies from a couple people and when they got it going the specialist working on it moved very quickly. All in all its been a good experience working with the TTB at this point. Hope this is helpful to any of you who are in the process.
  22. Just an update- called Tuesday and was transferred to a specialist who they said was reviewing my application. This was not the same person listed online as reviewing my application. I left a message with my record number and that I was inquiring as to the status of my application. Haven't heard anything as of today. The wait continues...
  23. I've been a little hesitant to call but its worth a try. Thanks.
  24. I submitted in September and waited till Nov. 6th when it was turned over to a specialist. Now its just sitting with the specialist under review. I know Chris at Mad Buffalo submitted his after I did by a couple weeks and he received approval several weeks ago. It is frustrating. I've been back through my paperwork several times thinking I did something wrong but nothing pops out. Filed online and according to the online permit website the average time is 67 days to process. I'm way past that.
  25. We are 2 1/2 months waiting. Filed online, all paperwork completed and submitted including bond which was also sent snail mail. Turned over to a specialist on Nov. 6th for review and here we sit. Hard to be patient! lol I figure if something was not right they would contact me but nothing at this point. I
