In the units of the russian "volunteer" formation "Nevsky", who take part in hostilities in Donetsk Oblast, russian servicemen have a low level of morale and psychological state. It has been established that the main factors of this are due to large losses in manpower during hostilities, untimely provision of ammunition to the occupiers, uncertainty regarding the terms of replenishment of the personnel of the units that suffered combat losses. The number of those wishing to leave their units and withdraw from the areas of hostilities to the russian federation is increasing.
In the settlement of Izyumivka in the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, about 400x conscripts of the russian occupation forces, who are quartered at the recreation base "Scythian Valley", are scheduled to be moved to defensive positions in the area of the settlement of Volodymyrivka of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

In January, the United States called on Ukraine to leave Bakhmut, because they believed that it would be impossible and almost impossible to keep the city.

This is stated in the "drain" of secret Pentagon documents, writes the Washington Post on April 20. More than three months have passed since this council, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to defend the city.

The “top secret” assessment warned that “the constant “Russian advance since November has jeopardized Ukraine’s ability to hold the city,” and Ukrainian forces are likely to be “at risk of encirclement if they do not retreat within the next month,” - the message says.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/04/20/bakhmut-ukraine-war-leaked-documents/

It is noted that the Ukrainian authorities decided to keep the city in connection with its strategic military value. In addition, its defense supports the national spirit, and also demoralizes the Russians.

Ukrainian Colonel Pavel Palisa visited the front and heard disappointing forecasts about Bakhmut from the fighters themselves.

"These guys said, 'I don't know, maybe two or three weeks'. But after a few months, we are still here, trying to do everything possible to keep the city," he said.

A group of U.S. Republican senators wrote an open letter to U.S. President Joe Biden calling for a halt to military supplies to Ukraine in their current form.

The text of the letter appeared on one of the American hosting sites, its authenticity was confirmed by Republican Rand Paul.

https://ru.scribd.com/document/639664549/DAILY-CALLER-OBTAINED-File-5060#

“The second year of the war has begun, but there is no visible end in sight, and there is no clear strategy on how to end it. A proxy war with Russia in Ukraine is not in the interests of the United States and threatens to escalate, which could get out of control,” the letter says. .
The signatories believe that the White House's strategy of sending regular aid to Ukraine and imposing sanctions on Russia leads to "escalation and more violence" and also carries the threat of direct conflict with Russia.

"We will oppose all further aid packages unless they are tied to a clear diplomatic strategy to end this war quickly," the letter said.

The signatories, in particular, fear that Putin's patience may run out. They are also unhappy that the United States is spending too much money to support Ukraine, whose government is "historically mired in corruption," although the United States has enough internal problems of its own. In particular, they fear that aid to Ukraine weakens the US military.

UFO over Kyiv. It looks like they got there.
The situation is heating up and more and more confused.

The day before yesterday, a mysterious incident with an explosion in the sky over Kiev is overgrown with rumors, and officials are giving more and more contradictory information. The explosion was seen and photographed and filmed by thousands of people. What it was (a NASA satellite, a UFO or a Russian rocket) no one knows (or admits). What happened (accident, downing by means of air defense) is similar.
Officials either do not understand anything themselves, or they are obscure.
- First, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine urged "not to look for UFOs", and explained that "an air defense system worked over Kiev."
- But very quickly this post was deleted.
- Then the air force command announced that the outbreak was connected with the fall of a decommissioned NASA satellite (this was also confirmed by the head of the Kiev military administration).
- However, NASA was quick to deny this, saying that the satellite continues to fly, and the US Department of Defense sees and tracks it.
It would be possible to write off this muddy story on the "fog of war", if not for 3 circumstances.
1. Kyiv has been in the spotlight of UFO experts for almost a year, in connection with the publication of a scientific report by the research group of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. B.E Zhilyaeva.
2. The debate around B.E. Zhilyaev's study is controversial.
- on the one hand, there are questions about the method of measuring the distances and speeds of these "UFO squadrons".
- on the other hand, a new work by B.E. Zhilyaev published in March answers some of Loeb's questions on the methodology;
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/369529382_Unidentified_aerial_phenomena_UAPs_over_Kyiv
- on the third hand, Avi Loeb himself, together with the director of the new Pentagon Flying Object Anomaly Investigation Office (AARO), Sean Kirkpatrick, is preparing an article for publication, which proposes a way to improve UFO registration methods, allowing you to understand whether it is a UFO or not (i.e. I will add, perhaps Zhilyaev is right).
3. The day before yesterday, the hearings of the AARO leadership in the subcommittee on the armed services in the US Senate showed a very dangerous situation with the discovery of UFOs:
- the number of cases of registration by the military and intelligence of "unidentified anomalous phenomena" is already 650;
- among the cases there are many such that terrestrial science cannot explain (but the very existence of such cases is beyond doubt)
- because most cases are kept secret by the military, even AARO cannot get data on them (a recent example is the February story, when American fighters shot down an entire squadron of UFOs over Alaska in a few days), but everything (including their wreckage) was classified.
As a result of the hearings, a scandal erupted due to the radical version of the explanation of the UFO mess happening on Earth, put forward in the article mentioned above by AARO Director Sean Kirkpatrick and Avi Loeb:
That the cigar-shaped "Oumuamua" (Hawaiian for "scout") is the mother ship of aliens, releasing and coordinating the work on Earth of hundreds of research probes that pass under our names: formerly UFO, and now NAYA (unidentified anomalous phenomena).

WASHINGTON/OTTAWA, Feb 11 (Reuters) - A U.S. F-22 fighter jet shot down an unidentified cylindrical object over Canada on Saturday, the second such instance in as many days, as North America appeared on edge following a week-long Chinese spying balloon saga that drew the global spotlight.

Separately, the U.S. military also scrambled fighter jets in Montana to investigate a radar anomaly that triggered a brief federal closure of airspace.

Russian occupiers continue unsuccessful attempts to take control of the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut (Donetsk region). However, so far, the offensive actions of the enemy are ending in unsuccessful assaults.

Analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) say this, showing the operational situation in the Bakhmut direction on April 22.

1682224580-1480.jpg?r=937734

They refer to geolocation footage published on April 21, which indicates that the invaders were able to advance to the O0506 highway northwest of Khromovoe (the city is located west of Bakhmut). Russian "military correspondents" say that Wagner PMC mercenaries are trying to storm the roads in the area in order to cordon off the city. However, as of April 22, this has not been successful.

Earlier, Russian bloggers claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces rely on field roads, including those passing through the village of Ivanovskoye, to provide their group with supplies. At the same time, it was reported that due to the wet ground, the Armed Forces of Ukraine may not have been using the O0506 route for this for some time. However, some Russian "military correspondents" claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can use tracked vehicles.

Also, ISW cannot yet confirm that the Wagner troops managed to capture three quarters in the west of the city, as previously reported by the Russian Defense Ministry. Some Russian bloggers also said that the Russian forces managed to advance in the southern and central Bakhmut, as well as closer to the school of the Olympic reserve (west of the city).

The EU and Japan opposed the US proposal to the G7 countries to ban all exports to Russia.

According to the Financial Times, citing documents, the G7 leaders' statement includes a promise to replace the current sectoral sanctions regime against Russia with a complete export ban, with some exceptions. A total export ban will include exemptions for agricultural, medical and other products.

According to two officials, the offer was made by the United States. Washington is reportedly unhappy with the circumvention of Russian sanctions, as Moscow still has the ability to purchase Western technology to wage war.

But in Japan and the EU, the implementation of such a ban is considered impracticable. Replacing 10 sanctions packages with a total export ban plus exemptions could potentially weaken existing measures, officials said.

The White House National Security Council declined to comment on conversations with G7 partners, but said the US "will continue to look for ways to hold Russia accountable."

G7 leaders will meet in Hiroshima on May 19 for a three-day summit focusing on the implications of Russia's war against Ukraine, economic security, green investment and the Indo-Pacific.

On the morning of April 28, Russia attacked the territory of Ukraine with missiles and UAVs. Terrorists have again targeted civilians. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on his Telegram channel and published footage of Russian strikes.

"As a result of a missile attack on Uman, about 10 apartment buildings were damaged. An entire entrance was destroyed in one of them. People remain under the rubble. Unfortunately, there are injured and dead, including a child," the head of state said in a statement.

The President added that in Dnipro the shelling of the Russians claimed the life of a child. He expressed condolences to all those who lost their loved ones due to Russian terror.

Zelensky also thanked the Air Force and everyone who helps overcome the consequences of Russian attacks and everyone who protects Ukrainians.

"This Russian terror must receive a fair response from Ukraine and the world. And it will. Each such attack, each evil against our country and people only brings the terrorist state closer to failure and punishment, and not vice versa, as they think," the head of state stressed. .

The Russian Federation is improving the accuracy of S-300 missiles by adding a GPS navigation system to its warhead.

“So that the missile could fly along exactly the given coordinates,” military expert Oleg Zhdanov said, answering the question S-300 missiles to the ground-to-ground class.

According to him, any air defense system has such a function - to use missiles against ground targets.

How many S-300 missiles does Russia have?

Russians often launch old S-300 missiles in Ukraine, which need to be disposed of. And they have many.

"There are about 7,000 of them. Instead of spending money on disposal, they are simply released across our territory. If you count how much they use them, then these missiles will last them for another 3 years."

At the same time, in September 2022, the main intelligence department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine noted that Russia would have enough missiles for at least three years to strike at the territory of Ukraine.
