They "destroy" more equipment than Ukraine had: Russia's lies were shown in numbers (infographics)

In daily reports, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports on equipment allegedly destroyed in Ukraine, resorting to excessive exaggerations.

According to reports, the Russians "destroyed" some samples of Western equipment received by Ukraine from partners, even more than the Ukrainian forces were armed with. This was clearly illustrated in the infographics of the Word and Deed edition.

1684479756-4964.jpg?r=155990

The "most effective" Russians were in the destruction of the American MLRS HIMARS. According to the reports of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, they were "struck" by 73 units. In total, Ukraine, according to official data, received 20 such systems.

"Striking results" the Russians also demonstrated in the "liquidation" of the American Paladin self-propelled artillery mounts, which were allegedly destroyed by 17 out of 18 received by Ukraine.

Among the "destroyed" (however, in the imagination of the Russians) and Patriot air defense systems. On Wednesday, May 17, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that 5 Patriot launchers were destroyed. In total, Ukraine was to receive three batteries, eight launchers each. Information about significant damage to the system has already been denied.

The invaders also boasted of the "liquidation" of 8 long-range Storm Shadow missiles, which Ukraine received from 2 to 10 units and has already managed to use at the front.

On May 16, the Russian invaders launched a missile attack on Ukraine, in particular, using Kinzhal missiles. The Armed Forces said that all missiles were shot down.

Russia subsequently reported that five Patriot launchers were allegedly destroyed during the attack. It turned out that the complex was really damaged, but very minor. The radar component, that is, the most complex and valuable part of the complex, was not affected at all.

On May 18, it became known that the damaged Patriot had already been repaired.

https://edition.cnn.com/2023/05/18/politics/us-allies-f-16-jets-ukraine/index.html

The Ukrainian military at least once used the American Patriot air defense system to shoot down a long-range aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, CNN writes, citing Pentagon officials and Congressional staff.

Journalists recalled the episode in an article about the prospects for providing Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets. The authors note that without Western aviation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have to improvise, and this use of the Patriot is just such a case.

According to the Americans, an attempt to shoot down the fighter was carried out in recent weeks.

CNN also explains that this type of aircraft mostly remains far behind Russian lines, making it difficult for Ukraine to destroy them with, for example, NASAMS.

This time, the Patriot was targeting a Russian fighter jet that had taken off to bomb civilian Ukrainian cities.

The United States stressed that the Ukrainians themselves decide how to use the Patriot in order to protect their people.

As UNIAN reported, on the night of May 19, 2023, during an air raid, Russian invaders attacked Kyiv from the air. The Russians have released Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones. All UAVs were destroyed on approach to the capital.

Military singers and musicians of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine created, performed and recorded the only military march of the Crimea Boysunmağan (Invincible) in the world.
"Write a song about us," my Crimean friends asked me during the performances of our Ensemble before servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Tens of thousands of Crimeans serve in the Armed Forces, most of whom are Crimeans. The text was written by several people in occupied Crimea, whose names will be made public after liberation. Operators of the Kyiv sound recording studio "Kofein" helped to record the sound. This is how this March was born... Of course, the Crimea once had its own combat March, but it was lost due to systematic oppression by the Russian Empire and Soviet deportation. Therefore, at the moment, our March is the only battle song of my people," says one of the authors of the music, Ismail Kurt-Umer, soloist of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"This march has a difficult history. The request for its creation existed from the first days of the war, but this is a very serious matter, so we needed time to gather our thoughts," admits the song's co-author Tetyana, a composer and head of the Kofein recording studio.
The Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine performs the Battle March of Crimea: at the request of the Crimean servicemen, the Ensemble choir agreed to sing the song and star in the clip. This is very symbolic, because it is a demonstration of how the Ukrainian Armed Forces supports the Crimean Tatars in their desire to fight against the aggressor and the occupier, to fight for their right to live peacefully in free Ukraine, on the land of their ancestors, in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Verse translation of the march:
I am proud of you, Motherland,
And soul and heart, we have no end.
There is the Black Sea, mountains, plain steppe,
So Crimea will be free - our native land.
Rise up, choose your will, Motherland.
Oh, heart, burn with anger at the invaders.
Open your eyes from the old and to the child.
And Crimea, our native land, will be free.
The song of the warriors, that strength is in unity,
Fire in the heart, the sun is high
The forehead is unbowed, and the character is invincible,
And victory for everyone — you and me.
Live, my people, in glory and freedom.
Let our flag fly in the sky.
The people are only masters of their own destiny.
May Allah strengthen our soldiers in battle.

In total, 36 barrage munitions were launched from the northern and southern directions.

Discussions regarding reported Russian losses in Bakhmut have saturated the pro-war information space and are drowning out any remaining positive informational effect resulting from the city’s capture.

Wagner Group financier Yevgeny Prigozhin claimed during an interview with Russian political strategist Konstantin Dolgov on May 23 that Wagner lost 10,000 convict recruits and 10,000 full-time professional Wagner fighters killed in action over the course of the Battle for Bakhmut.[1] Prigozhin specifically noted that Wagner had recruited 50,000 prisoners, 20 percent of whom (10,000) died in fighting for Bakhmut.

Russian forces limited ground attacks in the Bakhmut area as Wagner mercenaries began to withdraw from the frontline areas of the city on 25 May.

This is stated in a recent report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). In particular, the invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of Bakhmut and Ivanovsky.

Also, according to some reports, the Russians have turned their attention to the highway T0504 Chasov Yar-Bakhmut and O0506 Khromovo-Bakhmut, and fierce fighting continues on the flanks of Bakhmut.

At the same time, as analysts noted, "DPR" terrorists are increasingly arriving in Bakhmut and pushing out Wagner militants there.

The United States of America condemned the agreement between Minsk and Moscow on the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. The corresponding statement was made by US State Department Speaker Matthew Miller.

"We strongly condemn these agreements. This is the latest example of Russia's irresponsible behavior since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine more than a year ago," Ukrinform quoted him as saying.

Miller noted that the United States clearly emphasized to Russia that the use of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons in the unleashed war against Ukraine "will lead to dire consequences." At the same time, the representative of the State Department stressed that now the United States does not see any signs of preparations for the use of nuclear weapons by the Russian Federation, and also does not see the need to make changes in the location of its own nuclear forces.

Because of the attack of the Russians on the dam of the Karlovsky reservoir in the Donetsk region, the evacuation of people began. 26 people, including 8 children, were evacuated from Naberezhnaya Street in Galitsinovka.

The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavel Kirilenko said that as of 23:30 on May 25, 6 households were flooded in the village, no flooding of critical infrastructure was found. Rescue and operational services are at the scene and fully control the situation.

“Let me remind you: on May 25, at about 5:20 pm, as a result of shelling by the Russian occupation forces (preliminary rocket fire), the dam of the Karlovsky reservoir was damaged. As a result, an uncontrolled discharge of water into the Volchya River in the direction of Galitsinovka is taking place. The water level has risen in the river and there is a threat of flooding of private houses in six settlements of the Pokrovsky district, in which a total of 981 people live," Kirilenko emphasized.

In 2006, the fantastic film "Idiotocracy" was released, a dystopia about how, as a result of natural selection, the numerical superiority of idiots over intelligent people began to skyrocket and what came of it.
Today, 17 years later, this plot does not look so fantastic: the level of IQ in people is steadily decreasing, and some researchers believe that this process is irreversible. According to some, negative selection for intelligence is to blame for this (intelligent people do reproduce worse), others blame the information revolution for everything.
Will humanity have time to reverse the trend before the average IQ of homo sapiens falls to the level of mental retardation?
This question has been bothering people for a long time. Scientist Tokarsky believed that stupidity is a psychiatric disease. He did not measure it with any IQ, but he very convincingly proved in 1896 that there is a difference between the concepts of "unintelligent" and "senseless".
It is foolish, he said, to fall out of a window while looking at the moon; it is not wise to forget the address of your apartment, but it cannot be called stupidity. It is such a negative and very general concept of "unreasonable".
And stupidity is a positive concept. Stupidity is a concept that includes limitation, aimlessness, meaninglessness.
We live in a world of "simulacra" (as Jean Baudrillard called this phenomenon), copies without the original, which people agree to accept as originals and make the pursuit of them the goal of their lives. Simply because everyone does.
Not so long ago, the French neuropsychologist Michel Demourget published the book "Factory of Screen Idiots". The author rings all the bells: from 1999 to 2009, the average IQ of young people at the junction of school and university dropped by 3.8 points. If this trend continues for 100 years, we will get a drop in intelligence to 62. And according to the IQ test, an indicator of 70 is mentally retarded (upper limit of moron). The threat is serious. A society consisting of such people will not be able to sustain its own existence. No one will manage the machines and repair them, that is, our man-made civilization will fall. Artificial intelligence can, of course, come to "help", but it will not fundamentally change anything. Even 20 years ago, no one would have thought that the 22nd century would be faced by the mentally retarded.
In the past, the IQ level was constantly increasing, because throughout the 20th century, people believed that better intelligence and knowledge provided children with better chances in life. Scientists have observed with approval the so-called Flynn effect, named after the New Zealand philosopher James Flynn, who in 1984 published a study showing that the average IQ of US residents from 1932 to 1978 increased by 15 points. Similar studies in other countries have shown similar results.
Each successive generation received higher scores on IQ tests. Are we really smarter or just think differently? The cognitive history of the 20th century, according to James Flynn, shows that changes in our thinking have surprising (and not always positive) consequences.

Studies conducted since 2000 have shown what is now called the “reverse Flynn effect”: IQ growth slows, stops, or even reverses. Flynn says: “The victory of visual perception means that fewer people read long novels or history books. People live in a bubble from the present, which makes them more vulnerable to the influence of information from the outside." People without education or only with a diploma in education, but without knowledge, who are at the top of the social pyramid - nullify the desire to engage in their intelligence. To be intelligent - no longer prestigious.
Nowadays people with lower IQ have more children. Until 1850, this was not a problem for humanity at all. A senseless hunter dies more often than a smart one, and a smart peasant dies trying to feed his children in a year of famine. Britain's wealthiest classes have for centuries had about twice as many children per woman as the working class. If a representative of the lower classes suddenly had more children, then due to insufficient nutrition, they had health problems, and already in the second generation the number of their descendants decreased. After 1850, poor nutrition among children in developed countries began to become a thing of the past, even among the poor, and the increase in incomes of the population made it possible to feed a large family for those who did not have a higher education.
Our intelligence may have grown, but it has not made us wiser. "Reading literature and studying history is the only thing that will help to benefit from the intellectual profit of the 20th century and make it politically significant." Agree with that or not, but Flynn isn't the only person expressing concern about this. As William Poundstone writes in his latest book, Head In The Cloud, ignorance affects our daily decisions in many areas of life.
Civilization has ceased to be real, it has lost the verification tools for assessing a specific person. Many things began to "seem" to people - including that they are actually smart. Unable to digest such a huge amount of information that pours on them from all sides, people increasingly consume it in a simplified form, for example, from TV screens, and understand less and less what is happening. From yes, it becomes easier to manage them.
The era of idiots whose needs are limited to a TV and a refrigerator has come.

According to the materials of Daria Tarusova, editor-in-chief of the Portal about Ukrainian and world science "Granite of Science"

"...This war is fraudulent in nature, since it must go on continuously, without victory. Its main goal is to preserve the existing system, destroying not only human lives, but also the fruits of human labor, since the growth of prosperity threatens the hierarchical society with death.

If a huge mass of people become literate, learn to think for themselves, they will get rid of the privileged minority as unnecessary.

War and famine help to keep people, stupefied by poverty, in a world of illusions...."
