  1. I looked at a few but they don't look right. The good ones look like a massive dryer about as long as a car. They keep track of moisture and humidity. When its time to heat with hot air it tumbles the tube to keep from burning the grain and can put the exact particles of smoke in the air. Looks just like this
  2. Has any one seen or know of anyone in the USA that can build or does build Grain Malting & Smoking equipment?
  3. Hello Rob Let me be the first to say welcome to the club. NOW! the fun news - looking for investors sucks & this is not the place. (we are all kind of in the same boat) 90% of all V.C & Angel funds want tech start ups. (((THIS IS TRUE)))) more people won a million dollars in the lottery then got funding last year. 83% of all distillery's start ups will fund with friends and family In the USA this year less then 8% of all funding will be given to manufacturing start up's. This is what we are doing 1. Build your plan & make your numbers bulletproof 2. get your SBA and take some of the risk out from under your investor. 3. Find someone with lots of money that thinks "whiskey this could be cool." 4. Try Angelsoft.net & use lead411.com (ALSO) don't just email a plan and hope to get a phone call. 90% of my day is calling company's that have been invested into by V.C's and having them pitch us to the V.C. This works a lot better then an email with your plan. Network your brains out. that's what we are doing.
  4. Shrug I always liked "New Make Spirit" no white no whiskey - just safe.

  9. Never pay for a service you can get for free. "I have a great service to take away your waste for recyclin." Done and done.
  10. Check out neverstandsstill.com talk with jesse. He has good turn around and very reasonable pricing. He is able to undercut the big 3.
  11. Done trying to help on this one (BUILD AT YOUR OWN RISK) or talk to Tito (worked for him)
  12. I agree it sounded dumb. Im not going to lie that I get one answer one day and a new one the next. I would just like to see the TTB rule. Does anyone have the number in the book or a link.
  13. Stone TTB told us that if we make and label anything for an outside vendor it was ours. Do you have a rule number for copacking?
  14. We are 75% done building our first still. I have 10 years body work experience and it still not easy. I would strongly recommend against it.

  16. From what we have found out. You can build that drink for them 1. you own it, *logo* names everything is under your TTB license so you own it. 2. I'm still unsure how they would make money out of it (You would pay up till the point you make profit then you could work out a % with them.) I know its legal look at *bullet whiskey*
  17. Try This http://www.fermentis.com/FO/70-Spirits/70-20_whisky.asp

  21. We are already running a thin line being able to sell from our gift shop. Does any one push the bar and sell cigars. Our state (mass) requires you be a retail store with the power to take state tax. I know we can take state tax im just unsure if our gift shop counts as retail. If it does can I sell soda also?
