CathyTuthilltown Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted Today, 05:20 PM The TTB may combine the 3 monthly reports into a single report (two if you also produce industrial alcohol) This would mean a significant reduction in paperwork and staff time for small distilleries. It is important that we give them feedback supporting this change and comment on the proposed new form. It could use some fine tuning from the end users. They are accepting comments through Feb 3rd. Use the link below to comment Regulations.gov comment form This link will bring you to a page where the new form can be found http://www.regulations.gov/#!docketDetail;rpp=10;po=0;D=TTB-2011-0010 Summary: TTB proposes to consolidate the information and data collected in four current forms (TTB F 5110.40, Monthly Report of Production Operations; TTB F 5110.11, Monthly Report of Storage Operations; TTB F 5110.28, Monthly Report of Processing Operations; and TTB F 5110.43, Monthly Report of Processing (Denaturing) Operations) into two forms. The two proposed forms would be titled, TTB F 5110.77, Distilled Spirits Plant Operations Report—Beverage (Nonindustrial) Alcohol and TTB F 5110.78, Distilled Spirits Plant Operations Report— Industrial Alcohol. The proposed new forms would not require a DSP to report the level of detailed activity in the production, storage, and processing accounts that the current forms require. A DSP would be required to report the proof gallons of spirits in inventory at the plant as either produced, received, or removed during the reporting period. Details in the link below: Notice No. 124, Revisions to Distilled Spirits Plant Operations Reports and Regulations Comments on this notice are due on or before February 3, 2012. Curtis McMillan Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Less paperwork more trees for us to cut down and make into barrels. I feel ok with this, am I missing something?
jeffw Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Curtis I think you are just missing the fact that most paper is not made from oak...
Classick Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Has anyone been using this? Any issues? Are you submitting paper copies or electronic?
Denise Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Does anyone know where this suggestion stands as of today? Is there a way to find out if it is still being considered?
Denise Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 recently I spoke to someone at the TTB with a question I had about one of the reports, and she mentioned that they are "still working out the details" of combining the multiple reports into one report, but she wasn't able to give me any kind of timeline. But she did say they are working on it.
