Bier Distillery Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Anyone know of a triclamp fitting that has a centered eye hook? I'd like to use a winch to lift equipment.
Southernhighlander Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I can build you one like that and I can guarantee that the hook will not break, however it is up to you to make sure that the tri clamp connection itself can handle the weight. If you want it made, email me the specs and I will give you a quote. paul@distillery-equipment.com
Huffy2k Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 My still maker made me one so that I can use my crane to lift the copper head off my still. I highly recommend something like this!
Bier Distillery Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 Thanks for the offers to make a custom one, but I think the path of least resistance is to drill a hole in an end cap and put a bolt through it as Huffy2k did.
NEPA-still-chillin Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I'm all about DIY but if you do find yourself needing one built Bierling, Paul at ADE is the guy to do it
Bier Distillery Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 Thanks for the inspiration. This should work for lifting parts into place.
