eganter
Does a anyone know of suppliers for collection/receiving tanks for collecting heads, hearts and tails after the parrot? I'm either not using the correct search terms, or they are not readily available. Please advise me if you can. Thanks!
Gwydion Stone
You mean collecting directly off the still? I've seen everything used from Fusti cans to barrels to Home Depot buckets.
eganter
I'd like to catch all of the hearts in one tank. I'm estimating that we will be collecting between 80 to 90 gallons per run.
Huffy2k
I've been buying 30 gallon ss barrels from JANSZEN discount products in Cincinnati for that purpose. I also bought a couple 55 gallon wheeled ss containers from Grand Teton distillery and they are awesome (they advertise here, you should be able to search for them with the search function on this site). indyspirits
We've purchased used SS totes. I like them because they're squatty/ fit nicely under the parrot and we can forklift them around. Also never any concern about overfilling!
RobertS
We have a 5 gallon reservoir with a float gauge hooked to an air pump. We juggle our spirits around a number of stationary tanks that way, and collect heads and tails in buckets.
william-bailey
Anyone have a good source for holding tanks that are 10, 15, 20 gallons? Looking for ones with NPTfitting to transfer (we focus on infused fruits so small batch infusions is what we're doing).
Southernhighlander
Hi William, I have receiving and holding tanks that are 8 gallon, 13 gallon and 26 gallons. We can put any fittings one them that you like.

Southernhighlander
We have 50 gallon receiving tanks (they actually hold 54 gallons) on wheels with brakes for $897.00 on our web site. These are low profile, so they will fit under a lower parrot. These will be going on sale for 2 weeks at only $795.00 each. These are really heavy duty tanks and they work really well. We also have them in 90 gallon capacity. We can make any changes to them that you like, such as adding tri clamp ports anywhere on the tank etc. We can also make them into 2 compartment tanks. For example we can make the 50 gallon a 2 compartment tank for heads and tales and you can use the 90 gallon for hearts. Check out these tanks at https://www.distillery-equipment.com/oshop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=98 The 90 gallon tanks will be on sale for $995.00 We are selling them for that price now. The listing will change later today. paul@distillery-equipment.com 417-778-6100
