  1. One of the best posts I've seen on here in a long time. Donut
  2. Thank you. I had a hunch that it wasn't a constant but thought it was worth a shot.
  3. maybe it's not a constant formula that I could plug into a cell or behind the scenes, but I thought I would check
  4. I'm looking for a formula for excel so that I can do it all in one program and not have to go off and plug things in there.
  5. Does anyone have a formula already created for proof temperature correction that they are using in their documentation? Do you mind sharing it? Roy Camp 1805 Hood River, OR
  6. I don't recall seeing that set up on their stills in Crested Butte when I was there and I just crawled instagram #montanyarum and didn't see anything there. any idea on why they took it off?
  7. No problem. Your state might be more strict or could care less than ours but there isn't much you can do about that. It was not an issue federally for us.
  8. They were not an issue for us. We had a partner not disclose his violations, the state made him come clean, he did and everything is ok. Just don't hide it and you SHOULD be fine.
  9. We used Eric @ Taylor Made in Portland, OR. Wicked smart guy, easy to work with, tons of experience and the price was better than we planned. 503.699.5000
  10. Here's to you, man! You stuck with it and you got it done. I wish you nothing but success with it. I hate to hear about the issues that states bring into the mix, and knowing where you are I know it hasn't been easy. Best of luck! Roy Camp 1805 Hood River, OR
  11. Thanks everyone. We ordered our square on Friday.
  12. Just read a story here http://newsok.com/blast-rocks-moore-distillery/article/4907972
  13. does anyone have a good source for a floor scale for proofing? the sea of scales is large and deep and If someone has a link or good source I'd love to hear about it. Thanks Roy
  14. Thanks, everyone. Appreciate your feedback. What would you change about square if you could? Anything?
  15. I'd love to hear from folks who are selling bottles as well as cocktails on what POS system they are using. We are searching and would like to find one that didn't cost thousands of dollars, works well, and we could use with an iPad. Right now we are leaning towards pepperkorn http://www.pepperkorn.com/us/index.php Thanks! Roy Camp 1805 distillery Hood River, OR

  17. seems like you would be tying up an important piece of equipment. Keep your eyes open and I bet you could find a jacketed tank to use as an FV for less than you think. Nothing is impossible, it's all out there.
  18. What's your worse case scenario water temp coming into the building? How far do we have to go to get to you there? Where I live I never get over 48 degrees coming into the building. I hear in Florida it's in the mid 60s
  19. http://www.gusmerenterprises.com/index.html call those guys and let them know that you want a Millipore .45 micron and a .22 micron inline filter with the 1.5" sanitary fittings. You can put them right in line with your product, they come in their own housing, and if you backflush them when you are finished they work great. I know a guy that's been using the same ones for 2 years. They run about 250$ each.
  20. found a used one over on probrewer.com http://discussions.probrewer.com/showthread.php?37808-Used-Confederate-Stills-150-Gallon-Cypress-Open-Fermenter-w-Copper-Drain-amp-Stand
  21. We invested in a single jacket wrapped around our 15b FVs. They aren't clad so you can see the dimple jacket, but it kinda looks cool. It's about 30" of jacket wrapping all the way around. You can see it here http://instagram-ps.5thvillage.com/camp1805/ We also invested in a small 'chill &flow' glycol chiller from Pro Refridge out of Kent, WA for them. We haven't had a chance to use the chiller with em yet, we really haven't needed it.
  22. I asked mine and they were not called or contacted.
  23. johnrobben - is your air diaphragm pump grounded?
  24. I'd like to hear from anyone that is experienced in building their own hose from bulk hose. Any experience that you have with it that might keep me from making a mistake is appreciated. It seems pretty straight forward.
