I need some help with this info regarding a bottle of whiskey over 100 years old here is the info: The cap Reads Jefferson Club and has a Thomas Jefferson sig at the bottom of the cap The neck label reads Straus Gunst sole owners Richmond Va Jefferson this whiskey ...ent and Superior Main label has been gone for many years. Pictures show some of the detail but are brown from age, bottle is hand blown and am guessing is somewhere between 100 and 140 years old.

  6. I am working with rum for the first time. So if I age in new barrels will I have to summit a formula as well. Or only apply for used bourbon barrels? Also should I filtrated it true active carbon ? Thank you

  9. I would like to ask a question regarding single malt. If I will be using single malt barley to make whiskey. But I add alpha and beta enzymes . Is this consider single malt or not? thank you

  12. Thank you for the info regarding the book for rum. I bought it and already read it. It came in the perfect time. I just begun to experiment with more Rum recopies and you point the book. Thank you again.
  13. Today I got in the mail my license for the Distillery. Now we are able to distill in the State of Maryland. Thank you
  14. Today the Controller of the State of Maryland called, and asked me "when do you want your license for your distillery." I said tomorrow. And they said ok. But they subjected to me to do it the first of May. Because here in Maryland the licenses will go from May 1st to April 30th. So I will be going tomorrow to pay my Distilling license for May 2014 to April 2015. I big mile stone was completed in Montgomery County Maryland. as the first Distillery in the County. Cant wait until next month. I would like to thanks everyone who has help me and not. I have read allot of your post and have help me allot. I also would like to thank the Maryland Home Brew in Columbia Maryland to help me for the last 13 months to make this idea and dream come true. They are very happy someone created a business from all the knowledge those guys will offer for free. Thank you for Koval in Chicago to show me what I have to do to open a Distillery. Jose Hernandez Owner of Copper Fiddle Distillery for all the help over the phone. And It was my seat mate in the Koval class back in July. I also would like to thank Mr. Michael Lowe owner New Columbia Distillers from Washington DC., for all the help; and Ben from Lyon Distilling in Saint Michaels Maryland. Thank you and my wife to deal with all the staff I did to make this Idea come true. As they said all great ideas come from the Garage. I will hope to make a difference in this business and would like to make a Legacy not a job.

  17. I would like give good news to all of you. Twin Valley Distillers in Montgomery County from the Freedom State of Maryland the one and the last State to sing the Probation law. The one fought the British in Baltimore Harbor the one make the National Anton and the one great the greatest Flag of the great Country of us. Just got approve for DSP from the federal Government.   19. Hello. I would like to ask you about the agave. If I do agave, What gravity should it be? Also how long usually will take to finished fermentation? Should it be mix with water? and how much nutrients should be add it per Gallon? I like to thank you very much for your help. Gracias
